pop’s gym

One of our favorite gyms we have found anywhere; incredible vibes with an outdoor weight training area and turf basketball court to match! The small boutique feel makes this one spot one of a kind and you can’t beat the old school water and ice dispenser during a workout.

hg sply co.

Located on the Trinity River and right next to Mamaka, this is an obvious go-to for us as an after work drink and appetizer! My favorite is the frozen mule but you also can’t go wrong with any of their smashes. Fun tip: grab a table at sunset because they give a sunset toast every evening!

game theory

I love board games/card games so I love how interactive Game Theory is! They have 500 board games to choose from and a great list of food & drinks so come with a group of friends for a little friendly competition :)

Get outside:

Trinity Trails

Take your pup, yourself or a friend for a walk, run or bike ride along the Trinity Trails. It’s always an active area, especially along the area near Clearfork, behind Press Café and Mutts.

mutts

Whether you have a pup with you or not, Mutts is a great hangout when the weather is nice. Grab a drink and some chicken fingers from their bar and go get your cute dog fix!

Malai kitchen

For all Thai food fanatics, Malai has never let me down. My go to’s: Pad Woon Sen & Spicy Basil Chicken with their version of a margarita.

eatzis

Eatzis is the absolute go-to. Everything they have is incredible - the sandwich/salad bar, the prepared foods, build your own pasta bar, the hot food bar, you can’t go wrong. Pro tip - get the cookie at the register - life changing (we call them our “health cookie” because everyone needs a chocolate chip cookie to keep them going every now and then.

Yogis

Yogis is a major staple for us. All around incredible breakfast. Bagels, pancakes and eggs or my favorite - potato, egg and cheese breakfast tacos. After a long week of Mamaka chaos, Yogis served as our “Mamaka hangover” spot.

Curlys

When you need something sweet, Curly’s is your spot (it’s big for us that we aren’t inserting Braums here). Thinking about their custard makes my mouth water and you can either get a scoop of it plain or mixed with different candies or fruits. My go-to is the peach custard in a cone!

hotel drover & the stockyards

If you do anything on this list definitely go by the Drover and just get a drink or walk through the lobby and hotel - it is a beautiful western style hotel that makes you want to take a 180 in life and become a cowboy.
