hangry:

tacos a go go

MY GO TO BREAKFAST SPOT! any day of the week! I love their breakfast tacos (even if its 5 pm??) but they also have KILLER street tacos and do not leave without getting a side of diablo sauce.

Bluestone lane

A rice village or heights MUST GO. This aussie cafe has me feeling like im sitting on Bondi Beach sipping a latte and catching brekkie. Sit outside for the best experience and order the B.L.A.T.E. (I may or may not add my french fries right on the sandwich!!!!!)

MAMAKA Bowls

Because who would we be if we didn't mention our favorite spot for smoothie bowls, smoothies, tater tot tacos and coffee?

Hudson House

Hudson house is possibly one of my fav spots i’ve ever gotten oysters at. Everything on the menu is a 10/10!!! Pro tip: sit at the bar between 3-6 for the best happy hour in the city ($10 burger, $3 east coast oysters, half off martini’s and palomas… what more do you want???)

the original ninfa’s

OG NINFA’S! ON NAVIGATION! If you haven’t heard the Original Ninfa’s story it’s not only iconic to Houston but iconic to Tex-Mex. Mama Ninfa Laurenzo INVENTED tacos al carbon which then became fajitas – so naturally I owe her my life. Margs, Fajitas, and a large queso and I can hang there for a few hours.

take a sip:

postino

BOTTLE AND BOARD!!!!! $25 for a board and a bottle of wine after 8 PM. before 5 PM they have $6 glasses of wine and beers. A must is sitting outside on the patio while soaking up the sun! Special shout out to the west coaster sandwich. Trust me.

Get outside:

picnic in Eleanor tinsley park

A classic houston picnic stop. Go to whole foods before to get your fav snacks and watch the sunset over the city skyline.

walk or bike on the MKT

get your steps in by going on the trail and bring your pup if you have one!!! (this trail also leads to Mamaka like all good things so it just makes sense!!!!)

pro tip:

yoga on the rooftop of the post

Black Swan Yoga does classes on the rooftop of the post and it’s free every first Saturday of the month. So zen, so Houston!!
